HEEED stands for Health, Education, Environment and Economic Development. It is a non-profit Malawian NGO founded and funded in 2004 by WWF Finland. HEEED takes a holistic approach in developing and sharing these 4 main objective with local communities surrounding Lake Malawi National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site with over 850 unique species of fish found nowhere else in the world.
The Naturalism School is a Nonprofit organization that promotes environmental knowledge, learning and awareness among youth in rural communities in Nicaragua, through educational activities and initiatives to improve livelihoods. The 3 main objectives are educating, empowering and creating
sustainable livelihoods.
Art occupies an important dimension in many of our projects. Ecology Art can always count on the invaluable collaboration of artist and professor Alison Wiklund. Alison knows how to use art as a central tool for engaging the viewer for communication and understanding, for celebration of Nature's wonders, abundance and fragility, for reflection of the human condition and mankind's yearning to find his/her rightful and meaningful place in the Universe.
